The prothetist’s role
Following surgery, the doctor will evaluate your condition and see whether or not you are capable of wearing a breast prosthesis. If so, she will refer you to our prosthetist. The prosthetist will guide you in selecting the breast prosthesis or bra best suited to your body morphology. He will then do the necessary adjustment. With this precious assistance you will be able to return to a normal life.
Treatment stages
First, we will evaluate your condition, and perform the measurements and adjustments. Then, we will enter all information related to the previous steps in your file.
The follow-up
This file includes your identity, requests or prescriptions from health professionals, the reports they received, the results of the functional evaluation, the estimates, a detailed summary of products and services performed, the follow-up and recalls. Afterwards, the orthotist sends a complete record to the health professionals. It indicates that the orthotic is well functioning and meets your expectations. In a section of your health record, the orthotist will note additional and pertinent information. We are always concerned about accuracy.
